Dozens of Homes Flooded After Heavy Rains Hit Banten Jakarta. Heavy rains in the last night have caused the inundation of more than 70 homes in Cimarga, in the Lebak district of Banten province, as a river overflowed. A total of 72 houses were hit by floods of up to 1.5 meters deep by monday morning. "The people living in those homes have temporarily moved to a safer place," Cimarga sub district head Ade Sutiana said, as quoted by state-run news agency Antara. The water, coming from the overflowing Cimarga River, was not yet preceding as of Monday morning. "We have asked the people to move somewhere safer because it is possible that other areas will be inundated as well," Ade said. "We also asked them to stay alert. Lebak district is prone to floods and landslides," said Kaprawi, The Head of Lebak's disaster mitigation agency (bpbd). "We are coordinating with the local government, the national police, the Indonesian armed forces (TNI), volunteers, villages, and the indonesian red cross to anticipate the risk of disaster," Kaprawi said.
