Dear Editor,
We are writing to complain about ads on TV. There are so many ads, especially during our favorite programs. We think they should be stopped for a number of reasons.
First, ads are nuisance. They go on for a long time and there are so many. Sometimes there seems to be more ads than programmes.
Second, ads are bad influenced on people. They try to encourage people to buy unhealthy food like soft drink, candy and chips. And they make people want things they do not really need.
Finally, the people who make ads have too much say in what programmes people watch. That is because they want to put all their ads on popular programs that a lot of people watch. Some programmes which are not so popular get stopped because they do not attract enough ads, even though those programmes may be someone's favourite.
For those reasons, we think TV station should stop showing ads. They interrupt programmes. They have bad influenced on people, and they are sometimes put a stop to people favourite shows. We are sick of ads, and now we mostly watch other channels.
Sincerely yours,
Arman

Faster planes and cheaper flights are making it easier than ever before for people to travel. In the most 'developed' societies, visiting exotic places is a sought-after status symbol. The tourism industries of both developed and developing countries have recognised this fact and are learning to take advantage of it.
There are, however, some problems associated with this new industry. Firstly, there is the increasing crime rate. Some local's tourists as an easy prey because, not only are they in unfamiliar territory and therefore less able to take care of themselves, but also they carry visible items of wealth, such as cameras and jewelery which can be disposed of quickly for profit.
Another major problem is health. With greater mobility comes greater danger of spreading contagious diseases around the world. One carrier returning home could easily start an epidemic before their illness was diagnosed. Moreover, the emergence of many diseases which resist antibiotics is causing scientists to be increasingly concerned about this issue.
Also to be considered is the natural environment, which can be seriously threatened by too many visitors. Australia's Great Barrier Reef, for example, is in danger of being destroyed by tourists and there are plans to restrict visitors to some of the more delicate coral cays.
These are just three of the reasons why any country should be wary of committing itself to an extensive tourism development program.

Tornados occur when the conditions that cause thunderstorms are unusually violent. Winds blow in opposite directions around a strong updraft start a narrow, violent whirl. Centrifugal force effectively throws the hair away from the center, leaving a core of very low pressure. This is much like stirring water in a cup, thus forming a vortex- like dip in the surface.
This low-pressure core acts as a partial vacuum, sometimes helping to life the roofs off houses. Most of the damage, though, results from the force of the wind itself. Around the edges of the whirl, wind speeds may reach 300 miles (480 kilometers) per hour. At first, the tornados funnel is whitish-gray because it is composed of minute water droplets formed as the hair in the funnel expands and cools. After touching down, the funnel becomes dark because of all of the debris it has picked up. This debris can included soil, tree limbs, and parts of buildings; tornados have been known to pick up automobiles, horses, and whole trees.
A tornado usually moves toward the east (or often northeast in the Northern Hemisphere and southeast Hemisphere) at 25 to 40 miles (40 to 65 kilometers) per hour. Fortunately, most tornados are less than half a mile (800 meters) wide; the edge of one may destroy all of the houses on one side of a street while leaving those on the other side completely undamaged.
Deaths from tornados in the United States averaged roughly 100 per year over the last century. However, they have dropped somewhat in recent decades as better forecasting and warning systems have been implemented.

Brain cancer might be categorized as the worst and the deadliest disease. Approximately 17.000 people in the United States are diagnozed with primary cancer each year and nearly 13.000 die of the disease.
The brain is made up of individual cells. These cells are the smallest units which compose the brain. A brain cancer can arise from any of the cells, which make up the brain. Brain cancer starts in just one cell. As the cell makes more and more copies of itself, it grows to form a tumor. A malignant tumor has a capacity to spread, and is then called "brain cancer"
"Primary brain cancer" starts within the bruin, and is the main subject of the transcript. In contrast, "secondary brain cancer " starts in some other organs (like lung or breast) and then spread to the brain. This is called "brain metafisis"
There are several things that have been found to increase the risk of developing brain cancer. Having rare family disease (such as neurofibromatosis, Von Hippel Lindau), exposure to radiation, and exposure to certain chemicals (like pvc) have been connected to developing brain cancer. The risk is greater if the person is exposed to at a young age to a higher dose.
From the text, we conclude that brain cancer ....

THE SCIENTIST HELP SHEEP DIES
Keith Campbell, a prominent biologist who worked on cloning Dolly the sheep, died at 58, the University of Nottingham said Thursday. Campbell, who had worked on animal improvement and cloning since 1999, died October 5, 2012, University spokesman Tim Utton said. He did not specify the cause, only saying that Campbell had worked at the university until his death.
He began researching animal cloning at the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh in 1991. In 1996 the experiments lead to the birth of Dolly the sheep, the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell.
The sheep was named after the voluptuous singer Dolly Parton. Researchers at the time said that the sheep was created from a mammary gland cell, and that Parton offered an excellent example.
The creation of the sheep captured the public imagination and instantly became a scientific sensation. The experiments drew not only admiration but also anger from some who raised questions about the ethics of cloning. Animal rights activists were outraged, while the church of England expressed reservations. Dolly was put down in 2003 after she developed a lung disease. Campbell's interest in cellular growth dated back to his college days studying microbiology in London.

Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England, on February 12, 1809. He came from a wealthy family and never had to work. He studied medicine and theology. In 1831 he graduated from University of Cambridge with a degree of theology.
He began a career as a scientist quite by chance. On December 27, 1831, 22 years old Charles Darwin joined the crew of the HMS Beagle as a naturalist. The five years expedition collected hydrographic, geologic, and meteorologic data from South America and many other regions around the world. Darwin’s own observation on this voyage led to his theory of natural selection.
Charles Darwin was greatly influenced by the geologist Adam Sedgwick and naturalist John Henslow in his development of theory of natural selection, which was to become the foundation concept supporting the theory of evolution. Darwin’s theory holds that environmental effects lead to varying degrees of reproductive success in individuals and groups of organism when necessary for survival. This revolutionary theory was published in 1859 in Darwin’s now famous On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.
Charles Darwin's theory of evolution believed that...

The Dangers of Typing SMS while Driving The popularity of mobile devices has had some dangerous consequences. We know that mobile communications are linked to a significant increase in distracted driving which results in injury and loss of life. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that in 2010 driver distraction was the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes - with 3,092 people killed - and crashes resulting in an injury - with 416,000 people wounded. The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute found that text messaging creates a crash risk 23 times worse than driving while not distracted. Eleven percent of drivers aged 18 to 20 who were involved in an automobile accident and survived admitted they were sending or receiving texts when they crashed. Distracted driving endangers life and property and the current levels of injury and loss are unacceptable. |
