Soal memerintahkan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis hubungan apa yang dimilikiantara dua pembicara di masing-masing dialog 1 dan dialog 2. Untuk menjawab soal ini, kita bisa melihat cara bicara yang digunakan oleh dua pembicara di dialog 1 dan dua pembicara lainnya di dialog 2. Di dialog 1, bisa dilihat bahwa Rista dan Angga menyapa satu sama lain dengan kata "Hi" , dan diikuti dengan nama mereka masing-masing. Ini menunjukkan bahwa Rista dan Angga mengenal satu sama lain. Hal ini menunjukkan kemungkinanbahwa parapembicaradi dialog 1 adalah sepasang teman (thespeakers in dialog 1 are friends) . Di dialog 2, bisa dilihat bahwa Customer service representative (Perwakilan layanan pelanggan) dan Mawar menyapa satu sama lain dengan frasa "Good afternoon" tanpa menyebut nama. Dibanding dengan dialog sebelumnya, dialog 2 ini menunjukkan bahwadua orang ini tidak mengenal satu sama lain. Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa para pembicara di dialog 2 adalah pelanggan dan perwakilan layanan pelanggan ( the speakers in dialog 2 are customer and customer service representative ).
