Sebelum menyusun kalimat menjadi suatu paragraph yang tepat, hal yang paling mudah dilakukan adalah menentukan jenis teksnya. Berdasarkan kalimat-kalimat di atas, jenis teksnya adalah recount yang menceritakan pengalaman berdasarkan urutan waktu. Urutan pertama adalah kalimat ketiga karena pada kalimat tersebut terdapat keterangan waktu “ last Lebaran ” dan diperkenalkannya tokoh yang ada dalam teks bacaan. Lalu urutan kalimat kedua adalah kalimat pertama karena adanya hubungan antara kalimat keliga dan kalimat pertama yaitu “ take a train ” (naik kereta) dan “ took a taxi to the railway station ” (naik taxi ke stasiun kereta). Karena tidak ada pilihan lain yang berututan 3-1 …maka jawaban C adalah jawaban yang tepat yaitu dengan urutan 3-1-8-6-2-5-7-4.
