When I was a kid, I was fond of flying kites with my friends. We flew kites at the field near my house. I collected many kites with different shapes and sizes. I was very skillful at flying kites, so they could flew high.
One day, my friends and I had a competition. The one who could fly the highest kite would be the winner. To make my kite more interesting and different from others', I made my own kite. I drew my kite with beautiful and colourful pictures. I also made the tail as interesting as possible.
During the competition, I tried hard to fly my kite. It flew higher and higher. Unfortunately, the wind blew strongly. I could not handle my kite. I kept on trying to handle my kite, but it was in vain. The string of my kite was broken and my kite flew down. I only stared at the kite sadly.
Apart from my failure, I still kept my spirit. I was sure that my kite would always fly high.
What did the writer feel after the competition?

The king of the mice lived inside a banyan tree in a forest. One day, a poor man was cutting down some trees. As he started to cut down the banyan tree, the king of the mice grew frightened “Please, leave the tree standing” he said to the woodcutter, “and I’ll give you a piece of gold every day.”
The woodcutter agreed. So, every evening the king of the mice took out a piece of gold from under the roots of the tree and gave it to the woodcutter. The woodcutter took the pieces of gold home and showed them to his wife.
After a few days, his wife asked him, “Where dose the gold come from?”
“Don’t worry about that,” he said, “just keep it,”
A few days later she asked him again, but he did not tell her. “If you don’t tell me.”she said, “I’ll go and tell the government or even the king that you’re a robber.”
The woodcutter was frightened of his wife when she was angry. So he said, “Every evening the king of the mice gives me a piece of gold from under the roots of the tree.”
“Oh, you are stupid!” his wife said. “You’ve been tricked by a mouse. He gives you one piece of gold every evening but the rest of the gold is under the tree all the time! Why don’t you cut the tree and take it all away?”
The woodcutter did as he was told. He cut down the tree. But when he looked under the roots, the gold was not there. Yhe king of the mice had run away too.
That night, the king of the mice crept up to the woodcutter’s house and took back all the gold. So the woodcutter was as poor as before.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy should pull out one nail for each day the he was able to hold his temper
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that tall the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said “ You have done well. my son, but look at the holes in the fence, The fence will never be the same. When you say thing in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.”

Last month I went to Kupang with my brother to visit our aunt. On the first day, our cousin took us to Rote. From Kupang, it took us 1 ½ hours on the fast ferry. The waves there were very strong. We visited a fishing village there. After that, we went on a small boat to see a seaweed farming project. Finally, we came back home in the evening. That was one of our great holidays in Kupang and we were so happy.
