In the early morning of 10 November 1945, British troops began to advance into Surabaya with cover from both naval and air bombardment. Although the Indonesians defended the city heroically, the city was conquered within 3 days and the whole battle lasted for 3 weeks. Committing to proper waste management practices has many real benefits to us and our environment. 3) Having proper waste disposal methods available gives support to recycling and saves precious materials. It is critical that materials are being renewed for other purposes. Not only does this give it further use and stops it from going to the landfill, but it can also limit the need to manufacture new materials. Limiting the creation of new materials helps support sustainability and causes less pollution from the manufacturing processes. 4) One of the main reasons we feel so strongly about proper waste disposal is because of its positive contribution to the environment. Not only does it keep our streets clear of any rubbish, but it also lowers any negative impact waste disposal may have. Following proper waste disposal means send the junk to the right place. A product which has served its purpose will be discarded, and recycling is an effort to extend its usage life. This process has a lot of benefits to humanity and mother earth. 6) First, recycling a material can help preserve the environment. For example, recycling paper can result in paper production without additional trees falling. By recycling more paper and selling it to the consumer, more paper can be used without further damaging the forest. 7) Waste that is not recycled usually ends up in landfills. It is here that the waste is left to rot or decomposed, and this may take many years or even generations to fully decompose. More and more waste is being sent to landfills, and if recycling does not take place, the landfill may be right behind our homes in the future
