Advertisements
There are many reasons for both sides of the question, “Should we have printed advertisement?” Many people have strong views and feel that ads are nothing more than useless junk mail, while other people feel it is an important source information.
There are some reasons why we should have advertisement in newspaper and magazines. One reason is ads give us information about what is available. Looking at ads we can find out what is on sale and what is new in the market. This is an easy way of shopping. Another reason is that advertisement promotes business. When shop owners compete against each other the buyer saves money, more people come to their shops and they sell more goods.
On the other hand, some people argue that ads should not be put in newspaper and magazines for these various reasons. Firstly, ads cost the shopkeepers a lot of money to print onto paper. Also some people don’t like finding junk mail in their letter boxes. Ads also influence people to buy items they don’t need and can’t really afford. Ads use up a lot of space and a lot of effort has to be made to make the ads eyecatching.
After looking at both sides of issue, I think we should not have advertisements because they cost a lot of money and take up a lot of room in the papers. I don’t think I find some of them interesting. I mainly disagree because it’s junk mail.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to complain about an article in last Monday's newspaper, "Schools fail low-income children." As the head teacher of one of the largest junior high schools in the city. I feel strongly that the article does not describe our school.
My school has children from many different economic backgrounds, but a large percentage come from lower-income families. Nevertheless, our tests show that the children do well and benefit from the excellent work our teachers do. last year our school moved from 24th to 5th place according to the official assessment by the state government. This is clearly not the "failure" that the article suggests.
I would strongly recommend that more careful research should be conducted in the future so that your newspaper will more realistically describe the true situation in our schools.
Yours sincerely,
Joan Gonzalez

Once upon a time there lived three neighbours in a beautiful village. Three of them were diligent farmers.
At one time the three neighbours were having trouble with their crops. All three fields had crops that were willing and infested with pests. Each day they would try different ideas to help their crops. The first one tried sing a scarecrow, the second used pesticides and the third built a fence on his field, all to no avail.
One day, the village head came by and called all three farmers. He gave them each a stick and asked them to break the stick. The farmers could break them easily. He then gave them a bundle of three stick and asked them to break it. This time, the farmers struggled to break the stick. The village head said, “Together you are stronger than when you work alone.” The farmers fooled their resourches and got rid of the pests in their fields.

One day several boys were playing at the edge of a pond in which lived a family of frogs. The boys abused themselves by throwing stones into the pond so as to make them skin on top of the water.
The stones were flying thick and fast, and the boys were enjoying themselves very much; but the poor frogs in the pond were trembling with fear.
At last one of the frogs, the oldest and bravest, put his head out of the water, and said, “Oh, please, dear chidren, stop your cruel play! Though it may be fun for you, it means death to us!”

“There are more owns than pigeons,” said Owl.
“No way,” said Pigeon, “There are many more pigeons.”
“Lets count!” answerd Owl, “We will meet in the big woods a week from today.”
On that day, the owls came first. The trees were full of them. The owls laughed and said, “Oowah-wah- wah!”
Soon they heard a loud roar from the sky. Pigeons were coming from everywhere! The owls could not believe there could be so many pigeons. They sat there loving their heads back and forth staring with wide eyes.
The owls stared so long and hard at the pigeons that their eyes just stayed that way. Then, one by one the owls took off, fled into the sky.
In the meantime, the pigeons were shouting to each other, celebrating their victory. Since then, owns have always travelled at night when the pigeons are asleep.

First of all, machines cut down the trees.
Then they cut the trees into logs.
The logs arrive at the factory by road or by river. The factory is called paper mill.
Saws cut the logs into tiny wood chips.
After that, other machines mix the chips and water to make pulp.
Huge rollers then squeeze the pulp into long sheets of paper.
One roll can hold up to seventeen kilometers of paper!
Finally, the new paper goes by road to other factories to make boxes, books, tissues and many other things.
Paper is the direct product of ...
