Wade withdraws from U.S. basketball team

New York: Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade withdrew his name from the player pool for the US Olympic basketball team on Thursday because his injured left knee will require surgery, USA Basketball said.

After receiving the diagnosis from the Heat team physician, the All-Star guard, who helped Miami win the NBA title in five games over the Oklahoma City Thunder, informed USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo that he was having the surgery soon and would be unable to compete in London.

"As many people may know, throughout the season, I struggled with a recurring knee issue," Wade said in a statement. "After the championship game, I visited with my doctors for a round of comprehensive medical tests, and the recent results dictate the need for surgery. "While every part of me wants to be in London, I need to take this time to do what's best to improve my health and allow me to continue to play the game I love."

Wade was the US team's leading scorer in their run to 2008 Olympic gold in Beijing, scoring a game-high 27 points as the Americans beat Spain 118-107 in the Olympic final.

Despite having his knee drained during the NBA playoffs, Wade averaged over 22 points a game during Miami's championship series triumph over the Thunder.

Wade's exit from the US squad left 17 players in the mix for 12 spots on the Olympic team following injuries that removed several players from consideration, including Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Dwight Howard of the Chicago Bulls.

Do you know what a hacker is? A hacker is a person who enjoys exploring the details of a programmable system on computers and he or she likes to stretch the capability of the system. The activities they do in the computers are called "hacking".

So, what's the problem with 'hacking and its hackers'? The problem is whether 'hacking and its hackers' is legal or illegal.. What i mean is that people in the world have many different views about hacking and the hackers. Some of them take sides, but many object.

To get back to what I was saying previously, let us see the positive points of a hacker, shall we? Although in most places breaking into computer systems is considered illegal, I believe that hackers don't do anything illegal because they only want to know and try the system. I dare to say that a hacker likes finding the strenghts and the weaknesses of a computer system. They feel proud if they can find the weaknesses. So I don't really see the crimes in this case. In addition, these hackers sometimes help the police cathc the 'white collar criminals', such as bank robbers. money laundereres, credit card forgers. For example, in 2000, the U.S. hackers caught some Singaporeans hackers who made 'Virus Love' to break up the programs of the U.S National Security system.

Nevertheless, those who object to the good points of a hacker say that hacking is a crime. The reason is that some hackers use their brillliant skills to break into banks and other vital institutions where they can get money and destroy information, and the worst thing is they can get secret information and sell it to another country. This is a treachery.
