     A green flash, which occurs more commonly at sunset-but can also occur at sunrise-is a phenomenon in which part of the sun can be observed suddenly and briefly changing colour. It usually lasts only a second or two-which is why it is referred a flash-as the sun changes from red or orange at sunset, for example.

     The green flash is viewable because refraction bends the light of the sun. The atmosphere acts as a weak prism, which separates light into various colours. When the sun's disk is fully visible above the horizon, the different colours of light rays overlap to an extent where each individual colour can't be been by the naked eye.

     When the sun starts to dip below the horizon, the colours of the spectrum disappear one at a time, starting with those with the longest wavelengths to those with the shortest. At sunrise, the process is reversed, and a green flash may occur as the top of the sun peeks above the horizon.

     It is a primarily a green flash because more green light get through and therefore is more clearly seen. Sometimes, when the hair is especially clear, enough of the blue or violent light rays make it through the atmosphere, causing a blue flash to be visible. However, green is the most common hue reported and captured in photos.

     Once upon a time, there lived a generous and kind-hearted king. He was fond of birds and animals, and had a huge bird sanctuary in his kingdom. He disliked harming the animals and birds. He did not kill them even for meat.

     In appreciation of his generousity and kindness towards birds, the king was gifted two beautiful falcons by a businessman. Those two falcons were used to different climatic conditions. The king thanked the businessman and ordered the Head bird trainer to provide all the facilities to those beautiful falcons and make them feel comfortable in their country. The Head trainer took care of the birds. Gradually, the birds got adapted to the country's climate.

     One day, the king wanted to see the falcons fly as he had heard that one of those falcons could fly to great heights at very high speed. The bird trainer let the falcon out of the enclosure. It flew very high, very quickly, and came down to the enclosure within minutes.

     The king was quite surprised and rewarded the bird trainer with a handful of gold coins. He enquired about the other falcon. The bird trainer stated with regret that the other falcon had not moved even a stop from the first day and had just sat on the branch. The trainer also added that he had tried everything he could but still failed to make the bird move.

     The king consoled him and told him that he would bring a person more experienced than him to try to train the other falcon. Soon, the king announced that he needed a person to make the falcon move and fly.

     Hearing the announcement, an old man reached the King's palace and assured him that he would make the bird fly like the other one. The king asked the head trainer to take the old man to the sanctuary to train the falcon. He said that he would visit them the next day to see if there was any change.

     The next day, the king was very surprised to see the other falcon fly like the first one to great heights in rapid speed. The king was very happy and gifted the old man a handfuls of gold coins.

     Then the king asked the old man what he had done to make the bird fly in a day.The old man simply replied, "l just cut down the branch of the tree where the falcon used to sit."

Why did the king feel disturbed?

     A senior Indonesian writer Nurhayati Sri Hardini Siti Nukatin, batter known as NH Dini, has diced at Elizabeth Hospital Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday, 4th Desember 2018, at 4 p.m. due to an accident.

     Goenawan Mohamad confirmed the news through his Twitter accounts, "NH Dini has died. Teh 1936-born novelist is a prominent writer of the generation who first appeared in the Kisah magazine. Her works: Pada Sebuah Kapal, Namaku Hiroko. May she rest in peace," Goenawan wrote, adding that Dini has died in a car accident.

     Born in Semarang on February 29, 1936, Dini has been diligently writing since she was in grade 3. Her career in the national-level writing began when she sent a poem to a radio program "Prosa Berirama" (Rhythmic Prose), which was broadcasted by Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI), before trying her luck in making short stories for the women's magazine, Femina.

     Dini began writing long stories since she felt that the short story format was not suitable for her. She began writing her first work entitled "Hati yang Damai", then "Pertemuan Dua Hati" (1986) published in Femina.

     NH Dini was considered central as a pioneer of women's voices in the 1960s-1980s when not many Indonesian women decided to become writers. "Literature is my world, I have been in this field for 60 years and I hope to continue to contribute to Indonesian literature," said the feminist just before receiving an award.

     Almost being forgotten, the writers name resurfaced when her son Pierre Louis Padang became the talk of the world due to characters of Minions in the Despicable Me 1, Despicable Me 2 and Minions film.

     Pierre Louis Padang, better known as Pierre Coffin, and Marie Claire Lintang were the children of Dini and French diplomat Yves Coffin. The couple who married in 1960 decided to divorce in 1984. Padang and Lintang then chose to live with their father. NH Dini is planned to be burried at Harapan Asri Elderly House, Semarang. Her body will be cremated at Kedungmundu cemetery in Semarang, on Wednesday, 5th December 2018, at 12 p.m.
