"More" memilki arti "lebih banyak", kita dapat menggunakan kata ini untuk plural countable maupun uncountable nouns. Fewer memiliki arti "lebihsedikit", kita menggunakan kata ini bersamaan dengan plural countable noun. "Less" juga memiliki arti "lebih sedikit", kita dapat menggunakan kata ini dengan uncountable nouns. Pada teks terdapat kalimat " He has more money than my father. My father has less money than my uncle." maka kita akan melengkapi bagian rumpang dengan " more money than..." yang artinya "lebih banyak uang daripada...". Sedangkan untuk kalimat rumpang kedua kita melengkapinya dengan "less money than ..." yang artinya "lebih sedikit uang daripada...".
