Although zebras are closely associated with donkeys and horses, their striped body makes them different and special compared to other horses and donkeys. These fatures help them be camouflaged in the wild.
Zebras eat a variety of grasses. That is why zebras are herbivorous. They are also known to eat leaves, bark, shrubs, and herbs.
Zebras live in large groups, so they are known as social animals. One group of zebras consists of up to six mares and their young. Sometimes, a group of horses comes to join the group temporarily. They can gather up to 30 members in each group. When zebras are in groups, they sleep standing up. If they spot a predator, they will bark or neigh out loud to give the others a warning.
