After that, heat 2 tbs oil in a pan and fry the ground ingredients until fragrant.Add in the onion rings. Add tamarind juice, salt, and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally until the gravy thickens. Sambal Ikan Bilis

Ingredients:
1 bombay onion
1/2 cup dried ikan bilis (anchovies)
1 clove garlic
2 tbs tamarind juice
4 onions
8 dried chillies
shrimp paste (belacan) (optional)
salt and sugar to taste

Method:

  • First, fry the ikan bilis until crisp and put aside.
