Simple Past Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian di waktu tertentu di masa lampau. Past Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu peristiwa/kejadian sedang berlangsung selama waktu tertentu pada waktu lampau. Jika dilihat dari arti kalimat di atas "Setelah aku (menemukan) dompet berisikan uang, aku (pergi, segera) ke polisi dan (menyerahkannya).", maka tense yangdapat kita gunakan adalah SimplePast Tense .
