1. Menentukan persamaan fungsi

     f(-3) = -15 --> -15 = -3a + b           (1)

     f(3) = 9       -->     9 = 3a + b    _      (2)

                                  -24 = -6a

                                  a = -24/-6

                                  a = 4

      Substitusikan a = 4 ke persamaan (2)

       9 = 3a + b

       9 = 3(4) + b

       9 = 12 + b

       9 - 12 = b

        b = -3

       Substitusikan a = 4 dan b = -3 ke rumus umum fungsi

       f(x) = ax + b

        f(x) = 4x - 3

        Jadi, persamaan fungsinya adalah f(x) = 4x - 3

 

b. Menentukan nilai f(-5) + f(5)

     f(-5) = 4(-5) - 3

               = -20 - 3

               = -23

     f(5) = 4(5) - 3

             = 20 - 3

             = 17

     f(-5) + f(5) = -23 + 17 = -6

     Jadi, nilai f(-5) + f(5) adalah -6

 

3. Domain = {-2,-1, 1, 2}

     f(x) = 4x - 3

  • x = -2 --> f(-2) = 4(-2) - 3 = -8 - 3 = -11
  • x = -1 --> f(-1) = 4(-1) - 3 = -4 - 3 = -7
  • x = 1 --> f(1) = 4(1) - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1
  • x = 2 --> f(2) = 4(2) - 3 = 8 - 3 = 5
