In my opinion, yes, a president can change a nation. To support my opinion, i think mainly because a president hold power to make or change some certain rules in that nation. And because of that, a president can actually change the nation.

Yes, a president can have a significant impact on a nation, but the extent of their influence depends on various factors.
Leadership and Vision: A president who possesses strong leadership qualities and a clear vision for the country can inspire and mobilize citizens toward positive change. They can set priorities, implement policies, and drive initiatives that shape the direction of the nation.
Policy Making: Presidents have the power to propose and advocate for policies that address pressing issues and challenges facing the nation. Through legislation, executive orders, and administrative actions, they can enact reforms in areas such as the economy, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
International Relations: A president's decisions and actions on the global stage can impact a nation's standing in the international community, as well as its relationships with other countries. Diplomatic efforts, trade agreements, and foreign policy decisions can influence geopolitics, security, and economic prosperity.
Crisis Management: During times of crisis, such as natural disasters, economic recessions, or pandemics, a president's leadership and decision-making abilities are put to the test. Effective crisis management can mitigate the impact of emergencies and foster resilience in the nation.
Inspiration and Unity: A president serves as a symbol of national unity and identity. Through speeches, public appearances, and symbolic gestures, they can inspire citizens, promote social cohesion, and foster a sense of belonging and pride in the nation.
However, it's important to recognize that a president's ability to change a nation is not absolute and may be constrained by various factors:
Checks and Balances: In democratic systems, presidents are subject to checks and balances from other branches of government, such as the legislature and judiciary. This can limit their authority and ability to unilaterally implement their agenda.
Political Polarization: Divisive politics and partisan gridlock can hinder a president's efforts to enact reforms and achieve consensus on key issues. Opposition from political rivals, interest groups, and the public can create obstacles to change.
Complexity of Issues: Many of the challenges facing nations today are complex and multifaceted, requiring long-term solutions and collaboration across sectors. Presidents may struggle to address systemic issues that are deeply entrenched or require sustained effort over time.
Legacy of Previous Administrations: A president inherits a nation with its own history, institutions, and socio-economic dynamics. The impact of past policies, decisions, and societal trends can shape the context in which a president operates and influence the feasibility of their agenda.
