Dear Mira,
Hi, How are you there? I hope you are fine as usual. Mira, I am writing to tell you my experience as a voluntary worker in school. We cleaned the area around our school, mowed the grass and bushes behind our classroom and repainted walls.
As the chairman of the students organization (OSIS), together with our committee members, we planned and discussed the right time to do this voluntary work. After a long discussion, finally we agreed to hold it last Saturday.
On that day, fortunately we did not have to study as we had just finished our final examination. So, while waiting for our teachers who were busy writing our ‘report book’ and with the help of Pak Bejo we did it. We were having a good time because we could play while we were working. I wished you could join us at that time.
What about you? How do you spend your free time at school? How’s your Karate froup at school? I hope to hear from you, write me soon, Thanks.
Best Wishes,
Seno

On the north of the larger island of Halmahera in the province of North Maluku, there is a beautiful tropical island. It is the island of Morotai.
The island was a hive military activities during World War II. Tens of sorties roared daily from air crafts taking off and landing at airstrips along Daruba Bay, endless stamping of thousands of military boots marched across the island, and navy ships anchored daily carrying supplies and reinforcement. Today you can find several warfare artifacts in this island, such as cannonry, number of wrecks underwater, bunker, military base, etc.
The island is mostly well known for its natural beauty. It has many mesmerizing natural sites, from a white sand beach to waterfall spots. There are clear white sand beaches of Dodola Besar and Dodola Kecil, which are connected during low tide. It also has over than 28 diving spots which visitors will enjoy amazing underwater beauty, from pretty corals, colouful fishes, to abandoned shipwrecks. There is also Tanjung Sopi, the most favourite surfing spots for surfers around the world. As a mountainous island, there are so many capes as well as waterfalls, like Air Terjun Raja (2 metre high), Wayabula Waterfall (50 metre high) and Leo Leo Waterfall (10 metre high) where you can experience a cliff-jumping.
Now the island of Morotai has also now been designated as one of Indonesia’s Top Priority Tourist Destination for intense resort development.
