Work in pairs. Read the dialog below and discuss the following questions.

Mr. Dony: Hallo ! May I talk to Mr. Hasan, please?

Plumber: Oh, Hallo. I'm Hasan. What can I do for you, Sir?

Mr. Dony: Yes, Mr. Hasan, my water pump doesn't work.

Plumber: Okay, anything I can do for you, Sir?

Mr. Dony: Could you come to my house and fix it?

Plumber: How long has your water pump been broken?

Mr. Dony: Since this morning. When I turned on the switch, my pump ran, but it didn't work. It seemed that it was heated as well.

Plumber: Okay, have you turned it off?

Mr. Dony: Sure! I'm worried something wrong happened. Can you come to my house checking it out today?

Plumber: Of course, Sir. I'll come as soon as possible.

Mr. Dony: Thank you. I'm waiting for you.

(After a while, the plumber comes)

Plumber: Hello, I'm Hasan. I come to fix the water pump.

Mr. Dony:  Hello, I'm Dony. Thanks for coming.

Plumber: Can you show me where the pump is?

Mr. Dony: Oh, it is in the garage.

Plumber: I'll  check it.

(After a while)

Plumber: Excuse me, Sir. I have checked your pump, but it's okay.

Mr. Dony: Are you sure? So what's wrong?

Plumber: The problem is that your well is dry. You see it is a dry season. Your pump cannot reach the water and therefore it cannot suck and lift up the water.

Mr. Dony: I see. Thanks for your help.
