Too Late

    The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning. They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting at the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stones and sand!

    I have a story for you. I want you to listen carefully. The story is about stealing at an airport. At the time there were lots of detectives. I don't know what happened. In fact they were waiting for a plane from Africa but it was late

    You know... a few hours earlier someone had told the police. that the plane was carrying a parcel of
diamonds from South Africa and somebody had wanted to steal it so ... the police were keeping guard everywhere.

    Listen! What happened when the plane arrived. All detectives were very watchful to everyone. Two men took the parcel off and then carried it to the custom House. The parcel was opened but it was surprised. They got a hoax. The parcel didn't contain diamonds. It contained stones and sand.
