People said these stones are meteorite fragments that fell on the most beautiful beaches of the island Thousands of years ago, a meteor exploded and small pieces that fell to the earth spread to several countries, such as Australia, Czechoslovakia and Belitung Island in Indonesia.

Batu satam has been embedded in the·ground for years. Since then, the water flow forms beautiful strokes which make these solid black rocks widely used as jewelry such as rings, necklaces, earrings and many more.
