The Yaks
A yak is a wild ox of Asia. It inhabit the cold, dry plateaus of Tibet, often more than 4.870 meters above the sea level.
Adult male yaks grow to an average height of two meters at the shoulder, and weigh about 1000 kg and the females weigh a third of that.
A yak is covered with long and shaggy hair. It has a dense undercoat of soft, close matted hair.
