    I was so happy to get and read your letter about yourself, study, activities, and hometown.

    I am very serious and eager to have a pen friend like you.

    As you know, my complete name is Amalia Hermawan. You can call me Lia as other people call me. I am sixteen years old now. I am a tenth grader. I study at SMA Jaya 1 Yogyakarta. I always go to school on foot for the school is very near to my house. I live with my parents. They are teachers at a primary school. My little brother is four years younger than me. He studies at a junior high school.

    I have a favorite subject. I like Biology very much. It makes me really know and understand the human's body structure and anatomy. I also know all kinds of creature and their system on this earth. Here at my school, all students and teachers are obliged to speak in Javanese on Fridays. It is to increase our love for the Javanese culture.

    I also have a hobby. My hobby is cooking. I always cook in my spare time. I sometimes practise cooking appetizer like soup. I'm also keen on cooking main course. I prefer Indonesian cuisine to western food. Once a week, I make dessert like cake and pudding. I learn cooking from internet, books, and cooking programs on television. My favourite chef is Marinka. Besides she is pretty, she always cooks delicious food with a five stars hotel presentation. She is very good at serving and garnishing the food she cooks. Well, I am not as great as chef Marinka. I still learn a lot to be like her. I want to be a professional chef in the future.

    I really want to visit you in Bali one day. Everyone knows that Bali is the most wanted place of the world. There are lots of beautiful tourism objects. I want to watch the sunrise at Sanur Beach and the sunset at Kuta Beach. I hope that you will accompany me on those beaches one day. Do you have a plan to visit Yogyakarta? See you.
