They always seemed to be so sad because they had a wish which was difficult to be true. The wish was not about wealth or prosperity. It was about having a child. One day, the old woman went to a river and washed clothes there. While washing, she did not forget to wish for having a child. Suddenly, she saw a giant peach floating down the river. Without thinking, she just took it home and planned to cut it with her husband. However, when arriving at home, she could not cut the peach because she heard a human voice shouting not to cut it. Surprisingly, a baby boy jumped out of that peach. At first, the couple could not believe that he was a human. Then, they tried to be closer and ensured themselves that he was a real human. They became excited to have a baby who was then called “Momotaro”, which meant Peach Boy. After 15 years later, the village was disturbed by Oni Monsters who always stole the villagers’ belongings. Momotaro knew it and had a strong will to help all villagers. He informed his parents that he wanted to fight Oni Monsters, so the villagers would not be afraid of them anymore. Knowing his bravery, his father prepared him with a sword, and his mother gave him a bag of dumplings. On the way, Momotaro met a dog, a monkey, and a hawk. He shared the dumplings with them in order to ask for help. Luckily, they agreed to join and fight Oni Monsters with Momotaro. Being a good leader, he could manage his team to have great teamwork. Finally, the leader of Oni Monsters gave up and let him take the treasure. After that, Momotaro along with his team shared it with all people in the village. His parents were very proud of him.
