Koala
Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) is one of the Australian animals. It is a unique animal that has pockets (marsupials) similar to a Kangaroo. Because Koalas very rarely drink water, so it is named Koala which means not drinking. The name Koala comes from the aboriginal language. They depend on water contained in Eucalyptus leaves. They can be found along the eastern coast of Australia from Adelaide to Cape York Peninsula. They can appear far inside the jungle as well.
They have a unique body shape. They have thick and soft fur also have wide ears. They have large claws for climbing trees as well. The body weight is different from one another. For instance, the males can reach 14 kg, whereas the females in the northern part weighs only 5 kg.
