Menstruation cycle, also known as women’s period, is the monthly series of changes woman’s body goes through in preparation for pregnancy. It happens in four phases. The first phases is called follicular phase. In this phase the menstrual bleeding comes out and is considered as Day 1 of the cycle. While the bleeding happens, the , the ovaries are simultaneously preparing to ovulate again. Then, after the bleeding stops the uterine lining (also called the endometrium) begins to prepare for the possibility of a pregnancy. It becomes thicker and enriched in blood and nutrients.
What happens during the bleeding?
