CH 3 COONa (natrium asetat) berasal dari hidrolisis asam lemah dan basa kuat. Reaksi hidrolisis garam CH 3 COONa : CH 3 COONa CH 3 COO - +Na + ion Na + tidak mengalami hidrolisis. CH 3 COO - + H 2 O   CH 3 COOH + OH - (maka garam bersifat basa) Diketahui : pH = 9, sehingga pOH = 14 – 9 = 5
