The Origin of Rugby

    Rugby is one of the fastest-growing sports across the globe. It is popularly believed that rugby is originated in England in 1823 when a student at Rugby school in England picked up the ball and ran with during the school soccer match.

    Rugby is a full-contact sport yet the players wear very minimum protective gear. This sport is actually evolved from football. Different from football which only allows the goalkeeper to touch the ball, rugby allows all players to touch the ball.

    To play rugby, there should be two teams. Each team has fifteen players with 7 substitute players. A rugby match runs for two 40-minute halves with a 10-minute rest period in between. To score points, the players can carry, pass, or kick the ball to the end zone to gain a score. To pass the ball, the players must pass the ball backwards to their teammates while moving forwards.
