    Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901. At the age of four, he moved with his family to a farm located in Marceline, Missouri. He lived there with his parents and his three brothers. It was on this country farm that Walt first learned to love drawing. He was only seven years old when he sold his first drawings to some of his farm neighbors. He wasn't very studious. Instead of doing his schoolwork, his imagination wandered as he doodled sketches of animals. During these happy, early years, Walt began to gain an appreciation for nature and the field wildlife that surrounded the farm.
