  5. We should spend 18 years to pursue our interests.

Pembahasan Soal:

Dari teks di atas dapat diketahui bahwa Galileo merupakan seseorang yang cerdas dan berpendidikan. Ia berasal dari keluarga yang kurang berkecukupan tetapi  orangtuanya sangat mendukungnya untuk mengenyam pendidikan yang tinggi. Galileo memiliki pandangan yang berbeda dengan Aristoteles sehingga ia dikucilkan, tetapi hal tersebut tidak membuatnya patah semangat dan terus mempercayai apa yang ia yakini walaupun ia harus menerima perlakuan yang tidak menyenangkan selama 3 tahun dan tetap meyakini pemikirannya. Keteguhan hatinya membuahkan hasil ketika ia mengajar di Universitas Padua, dimana ia mendapatkan banyak  pengikut berkat cara mengajarnya yang menarik sehingga ia dapat menekuni bidang yang ia suka yaitu astronomi dan mekanika selama 18 tahun lamanya. Berdasarkan informasi tersebut maka pilihan jawaban yang tepat adalah (C).
