Sukabumi is famous for its mochi. Many people who visit Sukabumi will buy this food for their family. It's no wonder because the ball-shaped food tastes unique. Mochi is made from glutinous rice flour and the texture is chewy.
Mochi is filled with various fillings, but the most well-known is peanuts. Mochi is covered in starch to make it not sticky. After the mochi balls are covered in starch, traditionally, they are put into the bamboo webbings.The bamboo webbings are called 'besek' by Sukabumi people.

There are some mochi factories in Sukabumi. You can find them around Gang Kaswari.
