National Monument or Monas 13) ____ in Merdeka Square, Jakarta. Built in 1961, the monument 14) ____ the spirit of struggle of the Indonesian people. It is also the landmark of the city. This monument is made entirely of Italian marble and 137-meter tower. On the top is a flame made of 35 kg of gold. The base of the monument houses a historical museum with twenty-four depictions of Indonesia's past, while a small chamber above has on display the symbol of the country's struggle for independence. There is an elevator which takes visitors up to the viewing platform, just below the flame. From this place, the visitors can see a 15) ____ view of the city.
