Sebelum menyusun kalimat menjadi suatu paragraph yang tepat, hal yang paling mudah dilakukan adalah menentukan jenis teksnya. Berdasarkan kalimat-kalimat di atas, jenis teksnya adalah recount yang menceritakan pengalaman berdasarkan urutan waktu. Urutan pertama adalah kalimat ketiga karena pada kalimat tersebut terdapat keterangan waktu " last lebaran" dan diperkenalkannya tokoh yang ada dalam teks bacaan. Lalu urutan kalimat kedua adalah kalimat pertama karena adanya hubungan antara kalimat ketiga dan kalimat pertama yaitu "take a train" (naik kereta) dan "took a taxi to the railway station" (naik taxi ke stasiun kereta). Karena tidak ada pilhan lain yang berurutan 3-1.. maka jawaban C adalah jawaban yang tepat yaitu dengan urutan 3-1-8-6-2-5-7-4
