The flamingos are kind of large colorful bird. They are found both in South America and Africa. But, sometimes, they are also found in Southern Europe and Western Asia which has warmertempetatures.

The flamingo feed on fish inquieter rivers anslakes and usually stays in flocks of up to 200 birds. The flamingos live about 30 years but it is not uncommon for some flamingos to get to 50 years old.

The flamingos have many different colors; some of them can be orange or pink, white, black or even blue. The difference color of the flamingos is based on the type of algae they eat.

To find their diets, they usually use their large shaped beaks to shrimpout of the water. They used their upside-down beaks to separate the mud and the food in the water. A flamingo reaches sexual maturity on the average of 3 and 6 years old. Six weeks before the female flamingo lays their eggs they usuallybuild nest of mud, stones and feathers.

After 30 day incubation period, the female flamingos tend to lay just one egg. Both male flamingos and female flamingos rear their baby themselves
