One morning in the classroom, Mr. Joe was teaching his students. Students, i want you all of you to finish your assignment by tomorrow. The assignment is i will collect all the books tomorrow and anyone handing over an incomplete assignment will be punished. And I will give you extra marks if you do a neat assignment, said , Mr. Joe, an art teacher.

The entire class knew that Mr. Joe meant every word of what he said because he was very strict. Sheila and mia were students in the same class. There was always a rough competition between them.

At home, Sheila sat down to do her assignment. Some of the drawings were very tough. But Mia somehow wanted to get the extra marks that Mr. Joe had promised. So, she ran to her uncle’s house, uncle Rey. Uncle Rey lived next door. He was a friendly old man. He was good at drawing. He loved to help children in the neighborhood with their homework. Mia went there to help her out.

Next day. Mia went to school. She collected the assignment and was sure that Mr. Joe would give her the highest mark. As expected, Mr. Joe was very impressed and gave Mia the extra mark. Her mark was the first. Sheila mark was the second. But strangely, Mia did not feel very happy. She knew that she had cheated by asking someone else to draw for her whereas Sheila had done her own drawings.

Mia felt very guilty. She immediately went and confessed the truth to Mr. Joe. Although Mr. Joe was angry at first, he appreciated miss honesty and patted her for having the courage to speak the truth. Mia then apologized to her friends in her class for her distasteful behavior. Mia felt relieved to get the guilty feeling off her mind.
