Oleh karena itu, kata 'light' dapat dirubah menjadi bentuk past (lit), dan kata 'burn' dapat dirubah menjadi Ving (burning). Jadi, jawaban yang benar untuk soal adalah "I lit the fire at six and it was still burning brightly when Tom came in at seven."
