Why the World Underappreciate Artists As an artist, I feel that artists are underappreciated. Their works are often unrecognized. Worst, they are often underestimated. In truth, artists are essential in people's lives. So, why do people tend to discredit artists? Here are the reasons. First, we often value art but not the artists, especially new artists. As we know, everybody enjoys arts in various media, like television, radio, and many more. Everyone can tell their favorite songs or movies. However, people seem to struggle to tell the creators of their favorite songs and movies. That's because people only enjoy the arts. They don't bother to look for the people who make the art. Second, people expect creative workers to work at a cheap price, or even for free. People think creative workers only have to create something. People don't care how much time those artists need, how much cost they need to spend, and many more. They just want to see the result, not the process. From the arguments above, I conclude that we should give more appreciation to artists, especially new artists. Artists are like any other people. They all started from somewhere.
