Which heat wave resulted in the most human victim?

A beat wave is a period of excessively hot weather, which may be accompanied by high humidity, especially in oceanic climate countries. The definition recommended by the World Meteorological Organization is when the daily maximum temperature of more than five consecutive days exceeds the average maximum temperature by 5 °C (9°F), the normal period being 1961-1990.

While definitions vary, a heat wave is measured relative to the usual weather in the area and relative to normal temperatures for the season. Temperatures that people from a hotter climate consider normal  can be termed a heat wave in a cooler area if they are outside the normal climate pattern for that area. The worst heat wave in recent history was the European heat wave of 2003 The 2010 Northern Hemisphere summer resulted in severe heat waves, which killed over 2,000 people. It resulted in hundreds of wildfires which causing widespread air pollution, and burned thousands of square miles of forest.
