It tells how something works or why something happens such as the water cycle, or how a steam engine works. Other examples could be how rainbow is formed or how does rain fall. Soal di atas meminta penjelasan mengenai Explanation Text (Teks Eksplanasi) Dapat diketahui bahwa Teks Eksplanasi adalah teks yang menjelaskan tahapan-tahapan dalam suatu proses yang berkaitan dengan pembentukan fenomena alam, sosial, ilmiah, dan budaya. Teks ini menceritakan bagaimana sesuatu bekerja atau mengapa sesuatu terjadi seperti siklus air, atau bagaimana mesin uap bekerja. Contoh lain adalah bagaimana pelangi terbentuk atau bagaimana hujan turun.
