Jawaban yang benar adalah "where Amanda was". Berikut pembahasannya. Soal tersebut menanyakan bentuk kalimat tidak langsung dari dialog Sam. Kata "wanted" merupakan past tense. Maka, kalimat "where is Amanda" mengalami perubahan. Pada kalimat "where is Amanda" (Simple Present Tense) tersebut perlu diubah menjadi kalimat Simple Past Tense. Rumus yang digunakan adalah : WH words + S + was/were + O/C. Present tense : is —> past tense : was (untuk Amanda,she) "Where is Amanda?" adalah kalimat langsung. Maka kalimat tidak langsungnya adalah "where Amanda was". Jadi, Sam wanted to know "where Amanda was".
