The strenght of this song in my humble opnion, is the imagery it creates, particularly in the hours. Admittedly, it likely apeals more heavily to the female population, as its one of those pinnacle songs that any woman would love to hear her man sing to her. In my opinion, I don't think his speaking simply about her physical appearance when he says she perfect. The line where he make it clear he doesn't care what she wearing (while she thinks she a mess) speaks clearly to that when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath. But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight. And with lyrics like a women, stronger than anyone I know. She shares my dreams. I hope that someday I'll share her home, it certainly sounds like the perfect love song with many fans left wondering if it was a hint at a marriage proposal to his long term girlfriend. Not sure I've ever heard a more romantic song and it probably will become a favorite at weddings. There is much competition for that honor, though.
