My Sweet Bonky

I had a beautiful poodle dog named Bonky. Bonky had fluffy white hair. I loved him so much. I always took him a walk in my neighborhood park.

When I came home from school one afternoon, I saw him running after a butterfly in one of my neighbor's garden. I opened my neighbor's fence, walked into the garden and called him out of the garden.

Suddenly, a woman shouted from inside the house. "Dog kidnapper!" Then she ran after me shouting, "Somebody, please catch that girl!" Luckily I had enough sense not to run away. Instead, I stood still and tried to explain the situation to her. People started to crowd around us. My explanation seemed to fall on deaf ears. The woman tried to snatch Bonky away from me.

During the commotion, I heard my mom shouting my name from among the crowd. "Angelina ... is that you?" My mom, finally managed to push herself to the front and face my upset neighbor, and said, "I'm sorry, ma'am. My daughter made a mistake. Please forgive her." And she turned to the crowd, explaining," My daughter kept a poodle just like this one at home."

Finally she looked at me and sternly said, "Bonky's at home sleeping and snoring, you silly girl!" I turned red with embarrassment as my mom led me out of the crowd.
