German car manufacture BMW showed their 18 sport car model at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in JI-Expo. This car is special because it doesn't need a driver. It has "self-driving" technology. The 18 came from Berlin, on January 5. Some journalists sat inside this car for 80 km test drives on the motorway. Berlin's authorities asked for a professional tester to accompany the media. The trip took around 320 km before reaching Hanover. ''The test drive was focused on the self-driving ability," BMW's project manager, Mark Schulberg, said. The 18 can run by itself up to 120 km per hour. Accelerating, braking, and adapting to the speed of nearby vehicles are some features of the car. The car can have a 360-degree view by using many sensors, radar, 3-D cameras and laser scanners.
