Pertanyaan

Dear friends, I am both happy and proud to say that we all have passed through our high school moments which are full of ups and downs. Those days may always be in our memories forever, but we all have to move forward, don't we? So, what now? Going to university after high school has always been one of my dreams. I used to say that I wanted to study outside Jakarta. That is true because I have stayed in Jakarta all my life. Therefore, I have applied to several universities outside Jakarta over the past two months. The most exciting news is that I have been accepted in one of the top universities in Indonesia, which is in Yogyakarta. My parents support me fully. They also know how much I love the major I have picked, which is Science Studies. Next month, I will be busy taking care of everything for my studies in Yogyakarta. The first thing I will do is to visit the university and then find the nearest dorm for me. My mother will accompany me during the visit. However, I suddenly realized what I will have to go through after this. If I study in Yogyakarta, I will be away from my family and friends. At first, I thought it would never be a problem, but I realized how much their presence impacts on my daily life. I will have to adjust my routine if I don't l ive with my family. Being far from my friends will also be really difficult since I have spent my days with them both in school and outside of school all this time. Furthermore, I would have to adapt to a new environment and lifestyle. I can't imagine how I would go through all of it without my family and friends beside me. The harder part is that I need to manage my money because I won't be able to save money as much as I usually do in Jakarta. I need to take care of my place and myself alone. I have considered applying to another university, in Jakarta, so that I can still live with my family and close to my friends. What do you think? Best. Karmila 5. What did Karmila's parents feel about hearing she was accepted by a university in Yogyakarta?
