I just got back from my trip to Greece. I went there with my best friend, Giovanna. After spending quite some time in Athens, the two of us flew to Thera, what some people call Santorini, to continue our Greece trip. We spent around four days in Santorini. The weather was warm. Once we got there, we took a taxi to Oia. It is a village located on a clifftop of the Northwestern of Santorini. It was so gorgeous! When I set foot there, it felt like I've found myself in an  archetypal Greek island scene. We decided just to stay in Oia because our friend told us that the other areas were so packed with tourists.

We spent our 4-day stay in Oia wandering the narrow lanes and enjoying the views of columns of white walls cascading down towards the sea. Even though there were many people in the village, we were still able to enjoy ourselves. We shopped in the main street where we bought some interesting local art and textiles. We also ate fresh fish every day, and it felt like heaven to us.

We went on a 3-hour hike from Oia to Fira. The view was breathtaking, since the path runs along the cliffs of the islands. It had a wonderful view of a water-filled caldera below. We even hiked our way back to Oia. Moreover, the sunset view was mesmerizing! We watched the sun goes down every day from our hotel's balcony. We were still stunned, even after four nights. That is pretty much all about my trip to Santorini. I cannot wait to come back and take you with me.
