Such behaviour leads to irresponsible behaviour as the students careless about their grades and start skipping school. Even though there seems to be no consequences to skipping boring classes, it actually has some negative impacts on the future of the students.

To begin with, students who skip class are more likely to get lower grades. While people who stay in class gain knowledge, those who skip class do not. Moreover, the teacher may have some sort of bias towards a more diligent student, as he or she thinks that this person actually works hard to learn the subject. The teacher appreciates such students more. Also, skipping school may lead to failure in exams or expulsion from school.

Skipping class or school may cause the student to be unable to graduate successfully from a particular educational institution. An educational institution usually gives approximately 10% of days-off per semester. Researchers suggest that five days of absence is already enough to damage a students' academic performance.
