Arti kalimat soal yaitu "Is this book my/mine or your/yours?" (Apakah buku ini punyaku atau punyamu?). Pada kalimat ini, kedua pronoun tidak diikuti oleh kata benda apapun. Oleh karena itu, untuk menunjukkan "punyaku" dan "punyamu", digunakan possessive pronoun "mine" dan "yours". Kalimatnya menjadi "Is this book mine or yours?". Jadi, jawabannya adalah "mine; yours".
