Kalimat soal adalah "One of the students broke the window." (Salah satu siswa merusak jendela). Kalimat ini merupakan kalimat dengan pola Simple Past Tense. Rumus kalimat pasif Simple Past Tense adalah : S + was/were + V3 + O Langkah-langkah mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif. 1. Letakkan objek kalimat aktif menjadi subjek kalimat pasif, yaitu "the window." 2. Tambahkan to be yang sesuai, yaitu "was" karena subjek adalah "the window" (jendela) menunjukkan singular. 3. Mengubah main verb menjadi past participal, yaitu "broken." 4. Tambahkan "by" sebelum objek 5. Tambahkan objek yaitu subjek dari kalimat aktif, yaitu "one of the students" Kalimat pasif yang benar sesuai dengan langkah-langkah di atas adalah "The window was broken by one of the students" (Jendela dirusak oleh salah satu siswa).
