Steps:
- Take a baking dish preferably of rectangular shape and apply butter to the entire dish

- Take the dry fruits and sprinkle it on the bread top with only half sugar. Now the remaining slices should be arranged on top of the previous slices. The but- tered slice must face up.
- Mix the remaining sugar with nutmeg and now dust it over the bread slices. Beat the eggs and mix it with vanilla essence and milk. Pour this mixture over the bread slices and let it soak for nearly 30 minutes
- Before baking the slices, preheat the oven. Now the slices in the oven and let it cook until they turn golden brown in color.
- Serve the bread pudding when warm with cream, custard or caramel.
