A few months ago, my brother, father, and I went to visit our family in Surabaya . It was a short trip but it was still a very fun trip. We left for Surabaya on a Wednesday. It was nearing Eid AI Fitr so it was already on the holiday. We went there by plane. Our flight was at 8 a.m. The sun was still rising when we went on the plane. We landed on Surabaya at around 9.30 a. m. We went straight to the hotel because we brought so many things from Bandung. After getting settled in the hotel, my family and I went to my grandmother's house, which was also my aunt's house. When we got there, my father's sister's families have already gathered. We talked for hours, trying to catch up with everyone. The best thing about my trip was not just meeting my family members, but also the food. My two aunts are excellent cooks, and both had a knack for Middle-Eastern dishes. They are the best Middle-Eastern dish cook I have ever met. We stayed at my grandmother' s house until it was pretty late, around 9 p.m. Then, we went back to our hotel. Once we're there, we went straight to bed because all of us were exhausted. On the next day, we had a morning prayer on the Eid Al Fitr morning with a lot of other people in the mosque near the hotel. After the prayer, we went to my grandmother's house again. We had breakfast there, and had a session of asking for apologies to our elders . We went home the morning after Eid Al Fit. It was a short trip, but I would really like to go back.
