    This year Ramadhan taught me a wonderful experience. This was not my first Ramadhan I ever had during a pandemic of Covid-19. My village in Balerejo distric in Madiun Regency occupied a micro scale PPKM, so the occupancy of mosque was limited until 50% of the total capacity. It meant that I could not do tarawih and tadarus again at mushola nearby. Thus, my father decided to hold a tarawih praying at home.

    My great moment came on the second day of fasting month. At 17.35 and my family heard adzan in dusk. Then, we had our meal to break our fast. Suddenly, the next ten minutes, the rain heavily fell down. It was likely puring from the sky. We were so worried so we could not enjoy the dish. The rain did not stop and even became bigger. My house was slowly surrounded by water. My heart beat so fast. I could not imagine how bad something would probably happen. Then, my anxiety came true when the water came into my house at 21.45. My father told us to go outside the house and waited to be evacuated. We could only bring clothes that we were wearing.

    After thiry minutes, rescue team came to evacuate us to the village meeting hall. The team used an inflatable boat. When we arrived at the meeting hall, I saw that most villagers including the rich, the poor, the eldest, the children, and also infants were there, too. We were all wet, chilly, and scared. All night long, we spent time with a great anxiety. We could not sleep at all. The rain went on pouring until the dawn when we had a pre-dawn meal. The flood covered all areas of my village and paralyzed the activities.

    The rescue team worked hard to ease our fear and served us as well as they could. They also served our pre-dawn meal for sahur. I really appreciated what they had done for us.
